The Resistance

Author:

Joel Achenbach

This short ebook consists of two in-depth articles discussing concerns people are raising about the role of computers and algorithms in our current and future life, with a short essay at the end wrapping things up. The first article looks at the role of algorithms and social media in today's world and the second looks at concerns about the role of artificial intelligence in our future. The articles are well-written and thought-provoking, but I wish the essay had done a little bit more to explore the connection between the present day concerns of the people in the first article and the concerns about AI discussed in the second article. Still, the book is interesting and enjoyable to read, and I recommend it.
